Treci put na stazi u Dzedi koja nije sigurna da li bi htela da bude ulicna ili ultrabrzi autodrom, cini mi se skoro pa univerzalno nevoljena zbog mnogih problema sa bezbednosnom infrastrukturom i svakakvim dogadjanjima van staze ukljucujuci i ratna dejstva po obliznim naftnim postrojenjima. Zavrsena bukvalno u poslednji cas dok su se timovi vec raspakivali u boksovima za pocetak trkackog vikenda prvo izdanje VN Saudijske Arabije bilo je prilicno haoticno u svakom smislu uz puno prekida zbog incidenata a pobedu je odneo Luis Hamilton uprkos kontroverznom kontaktu sa Ferstapenom. Za naredno izdanje staza je modifikovana na najkriticnijim mestima sto je znacajno popravilo situaciju a trku je obelezila velika borba izmedju Leklera i Ferstapena za vodecu poziciju. Pobedio je vozac RBR ali opet ne bez kontroverzi jer je nakon ove trke FIA zabranila njegovu agresivnu taktiku naglih ubrzavanja i kocenja pod SC uslovima.

 

I za ovu godinu staza je dozivela neke sitnije promene i valjda ce to sad vec biti dovoljno da bude potpuno dovedena u regularno stanje u skladu sa savremenim standardima bezbednosti za vozace, osoblje timova, redare i publiku. Jer onaj ko je odradio inspekciju jos nedovrsene staze i ko je dozvolio da se ovde vozi prva trka 2021. je ili glup, lud, korumpiran ili svo troje.

Sama staza dugacka je 6174m i ima cak 27 krivina, trka se vozi na duzinu od 50 krugova, zvanicni rekord staze postavio je 2021. Luis Hamilton u Mercedesu sa 1:30.734. Jedinstvena na svetu pogotovo u moru jednolicnih i dosadnih tilkedroma, ako zanemarimo sve van-trkacke probleme i zazmurimo na cinjenicu da naprosto nije normalno imati stazu usku i oivicenu betonskim zidovima poput Monaka na kojoj se vozi brzinama sa Monce ovo bi zaista imalo potencijal da dugorocno postane jedan od klasika na kalendaru. E sad, koliko ce dugorocnog interesa saudijski samodrsci imati za F1 ili ce se kao sto smo vidjali kod slicnih sirom sveta za par godina zasititi i izgubiti interesovanje, ostaje da vidimo. U svakom slucaju sledeceg vikenda svetski sampionat F1 gostuje bas ovde.

Na prosloj trci u Bahreinu dominirali su vozaci RBR a junak trke bio je Alonso u Aston Martinu koji je uzeo preostalo mesto na podijumu. Iako po svemu sudeci izgleda da je RBR bolid neprikosnoven, ovde bi karakteristike staze mogle ici na ruku njihovoj konkurenciji pre svega Ferariju ciji bolid je ove godine optimizovan za velike brzine.

Claustrophobic, barrier-lined corners and the second-highest average lap speed of any circuit bar Monza in 2022 make the Jeddah Corniche Circuit one of the more daunting on the calendar.

 

Last year, Jeddah bit hard. Two serious accidents struck over the weekend, first to Formula 2 racer Cem Bolukbasi, then Mick Schumacher suffered a huge crash during qualifying. In both instances, the drivers were taken to hospital for checks.

 

Those violent accidents took place after the circuit had received minor revisions after its inaugural race weekend to improve sight lines and adjust corners on the circuit in the name of improving safety. But with the benefit of a calendar year between their races for the first time, the track operators have made more extensive modifications to put an end to assuage the concerns of drivers who call it F1’s most dangerous track.

 

Notably, the walls at turns eight and ten – where Schumacher and Bolukbasi’s accidents occurred last year – have been adjusted to improve sight lines. Similarly, barriers have been moved back extensively at turns 14 and 20 to improve visibility on the racing line. Finally, the sequence of turns 21-23 at the start of the final sector – where Schumacher crashed during the inaugural race in 2021, prompting a red flag – has been tightened to reduce cornering speeds by around 30-50km/h.

 

The Saudi Motorsport Company’s chief executive Martin Whitaker says the track changes will improve the quality of racing at the venue as well as make it safer.

 

“It is vital for any circuit to listen and learn from those racing on it and use their feedback to grow and improve at all times,” Whitaker said. “We are confident these changes will lead to even faster, more exciting and, crucially, safe racing.”

Pričali su u prenosu da je RB doneo rešenje za problem sa menjačem što su imali u prvoj trci. Kažu da misle da vredi par desetinki, jer ne moraju da štede tu

Ako se po jutru dan poznaje bice mrka kapa ovaj vikend za sve osim najvatrenije navijace Maksa i RBR, no kvalifikacije i trka treba da se voze pod znacajno drugacijim uslovima u poredjenju sa FP1, po mraku kad ce staza biti hladnija i performanse bolida zbog toga drugacije, i tu mozda postoji tracak nade da necemo gledati prvu dvojicu kako pobedjuju od starta do cilja usput pretekavsi sve ostale za krug ili dva...

U FP2 nije više toliko trpanje.

Velika steta za Sardzenta sto mu je ponisten krug zbog gluposti, a ono vreme je bilo dovoljno za Q2.

 

Alpine se bas kockale, Gasli se provukao i Q1 i u Q2, ali u Q3 falile dve desetinke da bude tamo gde pripada.

 

Max sutra ne zavrsava trku, opet ce nesto otkazati, u suprotnom podijum lagano, a zavisno od tajminga SC-a moze i do pobede.

 

Noris je ovog puta imao orudje, ali nije umeo pazljivo da rukuje s njim.

A mi se standardno przimo da ima sanse za iznenadjenje...

 

Ako mu se svi vozači (osim Leklera, Hamiltona i Alonsa) budu sklanjali kao inače što se sklanjaju bržima onda će podići pehar. Nadam se da će se naći barem jedan vozač iz ovih sporijih timova koji će iskoristiti 5 minuta slave i pružiti kakav takav otpor Maxu makar bio uzaludan i da opet gledamo borbe Davida protiv Golijata u F1 kao nekada...

Da bi pobedio mora maksimalno opteretiti masinu, a po onome sto smo videli u prve dve trke, masina to nece izdrzati (na prvoj su ubedljivo pobedili, ali nisu koristili opemu na max). Kladionice se ne slazu sa mnom, kazu da je Perez blagi favorit isped Maksa, zatim Alonso, a svi ostali skoro pa bez sanse.
