Born March 22, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, William Shatner has been an indelible part of popular culture for a good portion of a century. Though he’s most recognizable as Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek film and television franchise, Shatner’s career has encompassed everything from the earliest days of television to spoken-word recordings to his own sci-fi book series (TekWar). The nonagenarian will have a birthday celebration the weekend of July 23, 2021, in Ticonderoga, New York, when he attends a gathering at a replica Enterprise set. In the meantime, we’ve compiled 90 of the more compelling facts and details of the actor’s life and career, from his painful encounter with Koko the gorilla to a failed attempt to get Captain Kirk some robot action. Happy birthday, Bill. 1. William Shatner was once an understudy for Christopher Plummer. Shatner had been acting in a variety of theatrical productions before moving to Toronto, joining the Stratford Festival troupe, and putting on a production of Henry V in 1956. One night, when Plummer was suffering from a kidney stone—which the actor said he originally thought it was a bout of syphilis—Shatner was called to the stage and performed the title role flawlessly, receiving a standing ovation. In his autobiography, Up Till Now (2008), Shatner recalled “that was the night I knew I was an actor.” 2. William Shatner's dad was not thrilled about his son's chosen profession. William Shatner is a noted prankster. Shatner pulled a prank during shooting of his classic 1963 The Twilight Zone episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” in which he plays an anxious passenger who thinks he sees a gremlin destroying the wing of the plane. Director Richard Donner said Shatner was goofing off with a visitor on set—actor Edd Byrnes—and threw a dummy off the wing of the model plane, making Donner believe Shatner had slipped and fallen to his death. 7. William Shatner’s appearance in the 1950s Broadway play The World of Suzie Wong led to a bit of violence. One of Shatner’s co-stars, Ron Randell, began reacting to whether or not he’d get a laugh on one of his lines by hitting Shatner on the shoulder. When the actor refused to stop hitting Shatner, Shatner punched him in front of the audience. Fisticuffs ensued, which led to Randell accidentally hitting an 86-year-old prop man and knocking him unconscious. 8. The World of Suzie Wong helped to formulate William Shatner’s trademark cadence. Noticing some audience members were not returning after intermission, Shatner said he began emphasizing words—or yelling them—in order to command their attention. 9. William Shatner tried to stay away from TV in the early days of his career. Prior to Star Trek, Shatner was wary of accepting leading recurring roles in television, preferring to leave himself open for stage or film opportunities. But he did take on the title role in Alexander the Great, an ill-fated 1964 costume drama series co-starring Adam West and John Cassavetes. Only the pilot made it to air. 10. Shatner worked with George Lucas before Star Trek or Star Wars had ever materialized. In 1965, Shatner appeared in a short film titled The Soldier, which was financed by the Catholic production company Family Theater Productions and part of a series on the Psalms. William Shatner wasn’t the first—or even the second—captain of the Starship Enterprise on Star Trek. When Lord wanted 50 percent ownership of the show, Rodenberry turned to Shatner. 14. Star Trek served as a reunion for William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. Shatner and Leonard Nimoy (Spock) had worked together before: Both appeared on a 1964 episode of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 15. William Shatner improvised some fight choreography that ended up in an episode of Star Trek. Shatner expressed concern during one Star Trek scene where Sulu (George Takei), acting crazed, attempts to attack Kirk with an épée. To avoid being hurt, Shatner decided on some impromptu choreography and hurled Takei to the floor. The scene wound up in the episode. 16. William Shatner made TV history with one of the earliest onscreen interracial kisses. Shatner participated in one of the earliest onscreen interracial kisses on television in the 1968 Star Trek episode “Plato’s Stepchildren.” In the show, Shatner’s Kirk and Lieutenant Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) kiss while under the power of a malevolent alien race. 17. William Shatner was prone to stealing Leonard Nimoy’s bicycle on the set of Star Trek. Ostensibly a prank, it was also Shatner’s way of expressing his frustration at Nimoy being able to get to the commissary for lunch faster than everyone else in the cast. 18. William Shatner has some trouble with the Vulcan salute. Shatner is apparently unable to do the Vulcan salute, where the Vulcans of Star Trek spread their four fingers to form a “V” shape. When prompted to do so by Conan O’Brien in 2009, Shatner gave the talk show host the middle finger instead. 19. William Shatner was invited to a NASA gathering in 1968 to inspect a lunar module. When NASA engineers presented him with a replica of the Enterprise, it crumbled into pieces. 22. William Shatner earned a prestigious NASA award. NASA did not apparently hold a grudge about the Enterprise incident, as the agency awarded Shatner its Distinguished Public Service Medal in 2014 for his continued advocacy for space exploration. 23. In 2011, William Shatner recorded a voice greeting for the crew of the space shuttle Discovery. Shatner’s wake-up call was set to the theme to Star Trek: “These have been the voyages of the space shuttle Discovery. William Shatner reprised his role of captain kirk for an animated series. After Star Trek ended in 1969, Shatner assumed the role of Kirk next in an animated Star Trek series that aired from 1973 to 1974. Shatner said he often recorded his lines into a tape recorder while traveling or on another acting project. “It is very strange, reading your lines alone,” he said in 1974. “It feels so disembodied.” 25. William Shatner recreated a famous Star Trek fight scene more than 40 years after it first aired. In 2013, Shatner recreated his famous fight with the Gorn—a kind of alien gladiator—in the 1967 Star Trek episode “Arena” for a television commercial promoting a new Star Trek video game. 26. Among Shatner’s post-Trek projects in the 1970s was a recurring gig as a square on Hollywood Squares as well as a sister program for kids, Storybook Squares (1976), where actors assumed roles in order to play the game. The audience didn’t grasp the meta humor and the performance was met with resounding silence. 28. The fame garnered from Star Trek netted William Shatner an offer to record an album. On The Transformed Man, Shatner contrasted great written works with popular songs. But when he appeared on The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson in 1968, producers trimmed the written-word part, leaving Shatner to perform a bizarre spoken-word rendition of "Mr. Tambourine Man." 29. Johnny Carson banned William Shatner from The Tonight Show. In his 2011 book Shatner Rules, Shatner related that Carson later banned him from The Tonight Show in the mid-1980s because Shatner “talked too much and monopolized our discussion.” 30. William Shatner performed more than one bizarre spoken word performance. In 1978, Shatner performed a spoken-word rendition of “Rocket Man” by Elton John, a performance made slightly more bizarre by the fact it took place during The Science Fiction Film Awards, a televised awards ceremony broadcast in syndication. Shatner also hosted the show. “Rocket Man” co-writer Bernie Taupin introduced Shatner. 31. William Shatner performed a one-man show. In the late 1970s, Shatner toured a one-man show, Symphony of the Stars: Music From the Galaxies and Beyond with the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra. Shatner performed dramatic readings from the work of science fiction authors like H.G. Wells and Arthur C. Clarke. 32. Bowling was among the many talents William Shatner showed off. Shatner made an appearance on Celebrity Bowling in 1974. 33. William Shatner lost his temper on The $20,000 Pyramid. Shatner once flubbed an appearance on The $20,000 Pyramid, accidentally using the word in a clue with a contestant. Host Dick Clark recalled that Shatner grew “enraged” and threw a chair across the stage. “Fortunately, he didn’t hit anybody,” Clark said. 34. William Shatner was in consideration as a possible host of Family Feud. Owing to his successful game show appearances, Shatner was considered for the hosting role on Family Feud in 1976. The job eventually went to Richard Dawson. 35. William Shatner appeared on Circus of the Stars. Shatner made two appearances on Circus of the Stars, the variety series in which celebrities performed circus acts. The 1970s were a prime time for Shatner to begin commercial endorsements. He appeared in spots for Promise margarine and the Commodore Vic-20 computer, among others. 37. William Shatner was famously the face of a Canadian grocery store for several years. Shatner’s most memorable commercial spots may have been for Loblaws, a Canadian grocery chain that also had stores in Western New York. Shatner appeared in their advertising from 1972 to 1978 before being replaced by Loblaws president David Nichol. Shatner’s catchphrase: At Loblaws, “more than the price is right, but my gosh—the price is right!” 38. William Shatner’s most recognizable advertising work was for Priceline in the 1990s. Priceline, a travel website that allowed people to name their own price for travel bookings, offered Shatner shares of the company instead of a fee. But Shatner sold the stock too early, when it was down to just $1 a share, in 2000. When it jumped up, a story began to circulate that Shatner had made $600 million in stock sales. (He didn’t.) 39. Priceline killed off William Shatner in 2012. In 2012, Priceline killed off Shatner’s Negotiator character by placing him on a runaway bus that goes over a cliff. 40. It took William Shatner a while to fully understand Star Trek's impact and appeal. In his 1994 book Star Trek Movie Memories, Shatner says that he first understood the enduring appeal of Star Trek in 1975, when the series—which had ended in 1969—was in syndication. Appearing in a one-man show where he performed Shakespeare sonnets, Shatner decided to spend a portion of one evening opening the floor to questions. Most of them were about Star Trek. Soon after that, Shatner attended his first Trek convention. 41. William Shatner was set to return to TV as Captain Kirk in the late 1970s. Shatner was originally set to reprise Kirk in Star Trek: Phase II, a sequel television series planned for a fourth broadcast network owned by Paramount. When 1978’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind opened, executives believed the franchise stood a better chance on the big screen, and the project became 1979’s Star Trek: The Motion Picture. 42. One of William Shatner’s ideas for Star Trek: The Motion Picture was for Kirk to have a robot love interest. “For the first movie, I suggested an idea which was turned down, in which there was a female robot with no emotions, and I make love to her, because if she can be made to feel emotion, humanity will be saved,” Shatner told Roger Ebert in 1986. “They didn’t like that idea. I did.” 43. William Shatner disliked the script for 1982's Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. However, writer and director Nicholas Meyer was able to make changes in 36 hours that won Shatner’s approval. 44. William Shatner was thrilled when Sadiq Khan was elected London's mayor. In 2016, when Sadiq Khan was elected mayor of London, Shatner buoyantly tweeted out “Kaaaaahn!” in homage to his iconic line delivery in Star Trek II. Mayor Khan responded by following Shatner on Twitter. 45. William Shatner recently brought The Wrath of Khan back to theaters—and tagged along. In early 2020, Shatner toured with Star Trek II, hosting a fan Q&A following a screening of the film. 46. William Shatner helped put out a fire on the set of 1984's Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. A blaze had engulfed a standing set on the Paramount lot that would have threatened the set of the Genesis planet in the film. Shatner, fearful that the film's production would ground to a halt if the set had to be rebuilt, picked up a fire hose and sprayed it down. 47. William Shatner hosted Saturday Night Live in 1986. When Shatner appeared on SNL in 1986 to help promote Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, he made a memorable appearance as himself in a skit in which he implored Star Trek convention attendees to “get a life.” But he was actually in two Trek sketches that night. The other involved his Kirk heading up an Enterprise that’s been turned into a theme restaurant. 48. William Shatner directed 1989’s Star Trek V: The Final Frontier as a result of a contractual detail. Because co-star Leonard Nimoy had directed 1984’s Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and 1986’s Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and because Shatner and Nimoy had a “favored nations” clause that meant one would get whatever the other had, Shatner had the opportunity to helm the fifth film. 49. William Shatner was not thrilled about Star Trek: The Next Generation. Shatner was not overly enthusiastic about the 1987 premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation, the first Star Trek show following the original series without the original cast. “I think it is a mistake,” Shatner told Starlog in 1987. “To call a series Star Trek that doesn’t have the cast and the ship in it is an error. The error seems to me to be overexposure of the Star Trek name and the possibility of not having the Star Trek quality we’ve become accustomed to. It remains to be seen.” 50. William Shatner had to shoot Kirk’s death scene in 1994’s Star Trek: Generations twice. In the first version, Kirk is shot in the back with a phaser by the villainous Soran (Malcolm McDowell). Test screening audiences thought it was too cheap a death for the captain, so Shatner and the production team reshot it with Kirk sprinting across a collapsing piece of scaffolding to save the day before it falls on him. 51. William Shatner's idea for a great line in that scene was dismissed. Shatner, who had often uttered the phrase “captain on the bridge” during the original series, wanted to say “bridge on the captain” during that climactic scene. The idea was turned down. 52. William Shatner resurrected Captain Kirk in a book. Although Kirk died in 1994’s Star Trek: Generations, Shatner revived him—in book form. The actor wrote a novel in 1996 titled The Return in which Kirk lives. 53. William Shatner permanently retired Captain Kirk onscreen in 1994’s Star Trek: Generations. However, he did wind up appearing on a future Star Trek series. In a 1996 episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine titled “Trials and Tribble-lations,” the crew traveled back in time to save Kirk’s life from an assassination attempt. Producers used footage from an episode of the original series, “The Trouble With Tribbles,” and inserted Kirk and other cast members into the frame digitally. 54. William Shatner approved of the William Shatner Fan Fellowship. Owing to his popularity in the 1980s, Shatner endorsed a fan club named WISH, or the William Shatner Fan Fellowship. For $8 annually, fans would receive a bimonthly newsletter, yearbook, and magazine devoted to Shatner’s career. The fan club’s president, Sonni Cooper, said that letters addressed to “William Shatner—Hollywood” typically got to them. 55. When William Shatner agreed to appear in T.J. Hooker, he didn't realize he'd be starring in T.J. Hooker. Shatner starred in five seasons of the ABC cop drama T.J. Hooker (1982-1985), though he didn’t realize he was committing to a starring role. According to Up Till Now, the series was originally conceived as a show that would rotate the focus among eight young cops under the senior Hooker’s guidance. A strong audience response convinced producers to focus on the Hooker character specifically. 56. William Shatner did some of his own stunt driving on T.J. Hooker. Among these stunts was a “power slide,” in which Shatner's patrol vehicle would careen into the frame. 57. William Shatner once directed traffic while in costume as T.J. Hooker. During a traffic jam, Shatner—who was shooting the series—jumped out of his vehicle and began to motion for cars to move. Hooker, which was an attempt to bolster the show’s ratings against NBC comedies Diff’rent Strokes and Silver Spoons. Nimoy played a police lieutenant out for vigilante justice. 59. William Shatner inadvertently helped fund a wayward POW rescue mission. In 1983, a Vietnam veteran named James “Bo” Gritz told Shatner and Clint Eastwood of his intention to rescue captured Americans in Laos, Vietnam. Shatner paid him $10,000 for the rights to his story; Eastwood paid $30,000. Gritz failed to find any POWs and was briefly arrested in Thailand. 60. William Shatner wrote a novel in 1989. Shatner has said he essentially amalgamated his two major franchises—Star Trek and T.J. Hooker—with TekWar, the 1989 novel he published with Ron Goulart, about a private eye named Jake Cartigan in the 22nd century. 61. TekWar was optioned for television. TekWar was turned into a series of syndicated made-for-television movies, ultimately resulting in a USA Network series that premiered in 1995. 62. William Shatner teamed up with the WWE to promote TekWar. Shatner got into the WWE ring on Monday Night Raw in 1995 to promote TekWar, which was also airing on the USA Network. From 1989 to 1996, Shatner hosted the reality show Rescue 911, about real-life emergency calls. Igramo ovaj fantazi već skoro 10 godina i nikad se nije ovakav cirkus pravio, ko je ispadao i lige prihvatao je to pošteno i sportski, ovo je samo igra. Moj predlog je da ko god namerno sabotira ligu i pravi cirkus od iste da ne može da igra naredne 3 godine, to važi i za coownere ili tzv žene od vlasnika. Stvarno ovde postaje već skoro nepodnošljiva atmosfera a uvek isti cirkuzanti. Ja se odjavljujem sa ove teme dok se ne završi sezona, ko hoće trejdove nek mi piše na PM.

Khm khm To je mozda nekad bilo, ova mladja plejada nasih glumaca je uglavnom cemerna, uz tek po neki izuzetak od pravila. Ideja (originalnih) takodje ocigledno fali, posto prakticno sve nase serije poslednjih godina su reciklaza na zapadu vise ili manje aktuelnih koncepata. Pored toga, za sada se vidi iz aviona da se tek uce osnovama u konkretnim zanrovima, od rezije, preko scenarista, kostimografa, dizajnera setova, do samih glumaca.

Iako bas i ne prilici otvoriti temu o zimskom sportu na dan kad je ta sezona zavrsena, da bih olaksao dusu zbog jos jednog razocarenja moram to uciniti. BIjatlon je meni omiljeni zimski sport, pratim ga vec skoro 30 godina i imam neki sablon u navijanju, ali o tome par redova kasnije. Prvo, sta je to bijatlon? Kao sto se i iz samog naziva reci naslucuje u pitanju je olimpijski sport nastao kombinacijom dva sporta, i to dva prilicno suprotna sporta, nordijskog trcanja (ali sve vreme sa puskom na ledjima), disciplina koja je mnogo zahtevnija od trcanja ili biciklizma, ekstreman aerobni napor, i streljastva, sporta za koji je neophodan mir i savrsena harmonija. Trke se sastoje od 3 ili 5 identicnih krugova, cija duzina zavisi od discipline, a nakon svakog, sem poslednjeg sledi gadjanje. Mete se nalaze na 50 metara udaljenosti, na svakom gadjanju postoji 5 meta, u lezecem stavu njihova dimenzija je 4.5cm a u stojecem 11, a vreme se ne zaustavlja za gadjanje, vec sve ulazi u ukupan rezultat. U bijatlonu postojie 4 zvanicne individualne discipline i 3 timske. Individualne su: 1. Sprint (10km za muskarce i 7.5km za zene), sastoji se od 2 gadjanja (prvo lezeci pa posle drugog kruga stojeci stav) i za svaki promasaj sledi kazna trcanja dodatnog kruga cija je duzina 150m (u praksi to je zavisno od oblika kruga nekih 22-25 sekundi). Svaki takmicar startuje zasebno i meri im se ukupno vreme na stazi (obicno ispod 25 minuta, zavisi dosta od profila staze), a startni intervakk je 30 sekundi (dakle ovo je sto bi Englezi rekli time trial). 2. Potera (12.5km za muskarce i 10km za zene) sastoji se od 4 gadjanja (prvo dva puta lezeci a potom poslednja dva gadjanja stojeci), kazna je ista kao u sprintu, ali se razlikuje po tome sto se ovde startuje po rezultatima ostvarenim u sprintu, dakle pobednik sprinta krece prvi, drugopplasirani krece onoliko sekundi iza njega koliko je kasnio u sprintu, i tako redom, a pobednik trke je onaj ko prvi prodje ciljem. 3. Individual (20km za muskarce i 15km za zene) meni najomiljenija trka, isto je na stopericu (time trial), ali za razliku od svih ostalih trka, ovde kazna nije u distanci, vec vremenska i to najveca gledajuci sve vrste trka, tako da se svaki promasaj kaznjava dodavanjem jednog celog minuta na vreme, tako da ovde uglavnom pobedjuju najbolji strelci, dok je sprint rezervisan za najbrze trkace. Sistem gadjanja je isto drugaciji u odnosu na sve ostale trke jer prvo ide lezeci stav pa zatim stojeci pa opet lezeci i na kraju stojeci, dakle 4 ukupno. 4. Masovni start (15km za muskarce, 12.5km za zene) je najmladja discpilina, da ne trazim sad, ali uvedene pre nekih 20-ka godina. Zbog tehnickih limita strelista, u njoj ucestvuje samo 30 elitnih takmicara (u sprintu i individualu obicno ima preko 100 startera po trci). Ovde svi takmicari startuju istovremeno, sistem gadjanja je isti kao u poteri (kao i kazni za promasaje), a pobednik je onaj ko prvi stigne do cilja. Timske discipline: 1. Stafeta (muska 4x7.5km i zenska 4x6.5km), ovde imamo nacionalne timove sastavljene od po 4 takmicara, prvi predstavnici startuju svi istovremeno, a onda kao i svaka stafeta prave se izmene nakon svakih 7.5km (odnosno 6km kod zena), trka ide u kontinuitetu i pobednik je ona reprezentacija koja prva stigne do clija. Specificnost ove discipline je i u kazni za promasaje. Za razliku od individualnih disciplina, kad svaki takmicar po 5 metaka u sanzeru, a sanzera onoliko koliko je predvidjeno gadjanja u toj disciplini, u stafeti oni nosi po dva sanzera sa po 5 meatka, ali i 6 dodatnih metaka, koji su svaki individualno negde zatureni u pusci. Ako takmicar ne pogodi svih 5 meta sa tih 5 metaka u sanzeru on na svakom gadjanju ima pravo da upotrebi do 3 dodatna metka, ali njih rucno puni (svako punjenje i ponovno gadjanje uzima otrpilike 5-8 sekundi) pa tek ako neka meta ostane neoborena i nakon ta tri dodatna metka onda trci tih dodatnih 150 km (kazneni krug) za svaku metu koaj je ostala neoborena. 2. Mix stafeta, ovo je predivna novotarija koja je dala sanse da se okite medaljljama i dosta slabije reprezentacije, tj one one koje nemaju 4 dobra takmicara. Pravila su identicna kao kod klasicne stafete, jedina je razlika sto tim cine po 2 muska i 2 zenska clana. Do ove sezone muskarci su svoje izmene trcalali 7.5km, a zene 6, ali su ove ujednacijli, svi trce po 6, sto je dalo blagu prednost onim reprezentacijama kojima je zenksi tim jaca strana. 3. Single mix stafeta, jedina besmilica u ovom sportu, nesto gor ei od paralel salloma u alpskom skijnaju tako d ao tome nece biti dalje reci. E kad sam vas upoznao sa sportom sad malo reci o mojim navijackim preferencijama. Oduvek sam navijao za dobre strelce, a protiv odlicnih trkaca (koji inicijalno kad se pojave obicno jako lose gadjaju ali kako sezone prolaze popravljaju se u tom segmentu). U pocetku mog pracenja sportom su dominirali Nemci, njihova stafeta (Fiser, Gros, Luk, uz promenjljivog cetrvtog clana, ali najcese je to bio Sendel) je bila nepobediva devedesetih, a oni su mi svi bili ok. Onda se pojavio zli Ole Einar Bjorndalen, potukao sve moguce i nemoguce rekorde, a glavni takmac mu je bio moj pulen, Rafael Poire, Francuz, naravno najbolji strelac, ali prosto prespor na stazi. Onda se on ozenio Norvezankom, otisao da trenira sa njima, znatno popravio trcanje i konacno na moju veliku radost skinuo Bjorndalena sa vrha, ali ne i njegove rekorde. Posle njegovog penzionisanja Bjorndalen uzima jos dva velika globusa a onda je nastao mali vakum od par godina gde su se ukupni pobednici smenjivali, Bjorndalen je i dalje bio tu, uzimao svetske i olimpijske medalje, ali nije mogao bas do velikog globusa, a onda se pojavio njegovo velicanstvo Martan Furkad, naravno opet Francuz. Apsolutna dominacija i 7 uzastopnih titula, e to su bile lepe godine za mene, jer otprilike polovinu tih titula je uzeo u velikom stilu, nekoliko takmicenja pre kraja, totalno bez stresa. Medjutim pre tri godine je imao dosta slabiju sezonu, to koristi novi mladi negativac iz Norveske, Johanes Tinjes Bo, ali Furkad prosle sezone uzvraca, no zbog nesrecnog bodovanja, o cemu ce biti vise reci kasnije, gubi titulu u poslednjoj trci, iako je u istu usao kao vodeci, i pobedio u njoj, ali nije vredelo. Nakon toga se penzionisao, to je najavio tokom sezone, ali bio je to bas tuzan kraj. Furkad je imao sezonu gde samo 1 trku nije zavrsio na podijumu. Takva konstantnost u ovom sportu je nezamisliva jer ljudi obicno imaju par takmicenja kad se bas ispromasjuju, sto ih baci dosta nize u poretku, ma kako da su brzi. Ove godine zli J.T. Bo ima dosta problema sa gadjanjem ponovo, kao u pocetnim sezonama, pobedjuje u samo 4 trke od ukupno 26, a kao jedini takmac mu se namece ruki sunarodnik Lajgred (7 pobeda), ali kome za razliku od vecine Norvezana, snaga nije u nogama vec u pusci. Uz Simona Edera (veteran iz Austrije, covek koji je i uveo revoluciju u gadjanje, ali koji je previse spor na stazi za bilo sta ozbiljnije), imao je najbolje procente na gadjanju u sezoni. U poslednju trku, koja je zavrsena malo vise pre sat vremena, je Bo usao kao vodeci, ali zbog bodovanja ukupnu titulu bi uzeo ko god bude bolji od njih dvojice u trci, nevezano od pozicije, pod uslovom da su u prvih 8. U slucaju da su van 8, Bo osvaja, tj zadrzava titulu. I iako je trka bila po dosta vetrovitom danu (to daje prednost strelcima, dakle teorijski Lajgrejdu), on to ne uspeva da materijalizuje na prva dva gadjanja, jer je promasio jednom, a Bo dva puta, ali posto je Bo-u veci problem lezeci stav, kad je stigao do stojeceg sa zaostakom manjim od jednog promasaja, sanse za Lajgrejda su pale, a posto je promasio jednom i na trecem, a Bo pogodio sve, na poslednje gadjanje su stigli sa prednoscu Boa manjom od jednog promasaja, Bo je promasio, Lajrgejd bi sa 5 od 5 uzeo titulu najverovtnije, ali nakon dva pogodka promasuje i tu mi rusi sneska, a Bo zavrsava trku kao trci i uzima treci veliki globus zaredom. Jos je dug put do Furkada, ali ovakav poraz bas boli (kad tvoj strelac izgubi od zlikovaca tako sto je losije gadjao od njega). Malo prejake reci koristim za ove nezeljene sampione, ali jos sam u afektu i poraz, tj Bo-ova pobeda jos previse boli. Elem, ko nije pratio ranije, a voli uzbudjenja, ovo je pravi sport za njega, i nek pocne od sledece sezone jer ovde ne pobedjuje uvek najbrzi, na gadjanjima su ceste promene, a kad je vetrovit dan pretumbacije mogu biti ogromne (a nisu nasumicne), sto daje draz takmicenju. E sad bodovanje za svetski kup ide po sledecoj formuli: 1-60 poena, 2-54, 3-48, 4-43, 5-40, 6-38, 7-36, 8-34, 9-32, 10-31 i posle sve po jedan bod razlike do 40-og mesta, ali se za ukupni plasman ne racunaju sve trke, vec se u normalno sezoni brisu po dva najgora rezultata svakom takmicaru, a u ovoj kovid sezoni je odluceno da se brisu po 4 najgora. Verovatno cu narednih dana napraviti neki manji traktat i o zenskoj sezoni.

Treba nova tema za licitaciju, samo zbog ovakvih stvari i onda nema niko da kaze da li je trejd posten ili ne. Sada ispada da Maxa&Delgado nemaju prava da trejduju igraca, sto je velika neregularnost i ogranicavanje slobode u igranju fantazija. Bron je cini mi se vec 3 puta vetovan? Mnogo je ljudi.

Poslednje nedelje sam se osećala kao da sam u vrtlogu, nakupilo se svega u kratko vreme i u poslovnom i privatnom, ali jutros malo lakše dišem, dosta toga se uradilo. Izmedju svega toga, evo pričice. The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020) Film o čuvenom suđenju čikaškoj sedmorici. Radnja prati suđenje sedmorici vođa protesta 60-ih godina koji su vodili antiratnu kampanju. Država je organizovala lažno suđenje kako bi ih poslala u zatvor i tako smanji pritisak na vlast. Radnja filma je istinit događaj tako da o samoj radnji nema šta da se komentariše. Interesantan je za gledanje, pomalo komičan što nije loše jer je 90% filma u sudnici. Film je mogao malo da se produži za nas izvan SAD jer film pretpostavlja da su to sve dobro poznate ličnosti a verujem da većina izvan SAD nema pojma o većini tih ličnosti. Što se tiče Oskara mislim da neće dobiti po meni je iza i "Mank" i "Judas and the Black Messiah". Ono što je interesantno je da Judas and the Black Messiah je praktično deo ovog filma jer taj događaj ima ulogu u filmu, doduše nije obrađen nego je prikazan apstraktno što me navodi na pomisao da su verovatno bili u kontaktu sa tom ekipom pa su se dogovorili da jedni drugima ne prave konkurenciju. Takođe u "Judas and the Black Messiah" nema ovih događaja sa suđenja u nekom većem obimu. Što se tiče nominacije Saše Barona Koena mislim da je to jako teško. Ono što mi pod jedan nije jasno je zašto je on sporedna uloga kada je on praktično glavna uloga u filmu. Tačnije u filmu imamo 10-tak glavnih uloga od kojih su najdominantnije Sašina i uloga Eddie Redmayne kao Tom Hajden. Edi je po meni bio čak i bolji. Ostaje nada da će mu sabrati uloge iz "The Spy" i "Borat 2" i da na taj kumulativni način dobije Oskara jer mislim da je on definitivno zaslužio jedno takvo priznanje. Zbog određene doze humora ovaj film je za preporuku svima jer iako se radi o pravno-političkim pitanjima taj humor razbija monotoniju i čini ga gledljivim.

Po meni je pogrešno ulaziti u renoviran stan ako nisi 100% siguran da je sve dobro odrađeno i kako ti odgovara. Uvek bih radije renovirao sam kako meni odgovara i da je provereno za tu razliku u ceni koja se traži za renovirane stanove.

Koliko je imao teške protivnike , igrače u dobroj formi pokazuje i podatak da su trojica u tih mesec dana osvojili ATP tiule na hardu, Medvedev Marsej , Karatsev Dubai i Zverev Akapulko. Nije bilo slabog protivnika, niti specijaliste za šljaku npr za lagano zagrevanje za dalji tok turnira . Jednino Raonic ima nesto slabije rezultate od početka sezone, ali je i višestruki četvrtfinalista i polufinalista AO. Bukvalno nema igrača od tih 7 protivnika, sem Miloša da nije igrao barem 1 četvrtfinale od početka sezone. Kada se ovo doda problem sa povredom, , 9 AO titula teško da je mogla biti osvojena na impresivniji način

Sama fotka mi nije poznata, ali jeste sa kraja '50-ih ili samog pocetka '60-ih. Masina je ocigledno BMW 500RS (konkretno, BMW RS54 Rennsport). Normalno, ljudi vole da se jurcaju i takmice, pa i onim sta imaju ili sta lici na ono sta imaju, zato su i trke prikolicara bile popularne. Za trke, u pocetku su samo motorima stavljene prikolice. Onda su se pojavili i specijalizovani namenski okviri i takvi motori nisu bez prikolice ni imali smisla. Nakon toga, jos dok su se trke prikolicara vozile kao i ostale solo klase u svetskom sampionatu, pojavile su se i monocoque sasije - maltene formula3 auti na tri tocka koji su samo izgledom podsecali na motore s prikolicom. Delom zbog toga, a vecim delom zato sto su "narodne mase" presle na automobile i motociklizam je ostao uglavnom kao hobi, popularnost prikolicara je opala i sampionati su odvojeni od solo klasa. Mank (2020) Kandidat za Oskara i to vrlo ozbiljan. Odličan film, odlična glumačka ekipa. Priča je ispričana na majstorski način. Ja nisam skoro ništa znao ni o glavnoj ulozi ni o njegovom radu tako da je na mom primeru odradio posao 100%. Doduše u prvih sat vremena je na momente film dosadan ali u drugih sat vremena briljira. Podsetio me na "Besktvo iz Šošenka" jer za one koji ne znaju šta gledaju film se "otvara" tek na kraju. A moja preporuka je da i ne istražujete o filmu pre nego što ga odgledate jer ćete imati bolji doživljaj istog. Elem film prati Hermana Mankievica i njegove odnose sa poznatim ljudima Holivuda 30-ih godina. Film počinje u 1940. godini kada Herman sa Orsonom Velsom počinje da radi na nekom projektu a onda kroz flešbekove gledamo Holivud tokom 30-ih godina. Geri Oldman glumi Hermana i odradio je odličan posao, toliko dobar da sam i pre gledanja ostalih filmova prilično siguran da će dobiti oskara za glavnu ulogu. Ovo je u stvari film o istoriji filma, pogotovo njenu malo crnju stranu, ali i o istorijatu jednog drugog filma koji neću spomenuti jer je važan deo radnje. Iz tog razloga pretpostavljam da će i sam biti vrlo jak kandidat za Oskara jer žiri će sigurno biti malo subjektivan prema svom esnafu. No videćemo, za sada samo pogledao samo dva pa da ne idem pred rudu. Preporuka samo ljubiteljima drame, uslovno rečeno i istoričarima i pasioniranim ljubiteljima filma ali samo za one strpljivije jer film ima dosta "sporu" radnju.

Pa i Rakocevic je dobio internac. nagradu za najboljeg glumca, bio proglasen za glumackog vunderkinda, a bukvalno ga ne bih birao za kamernu scenu Pete beogradske gimnazije, kamoli nesto vise. Mogu se sloziti i za ovaj deo sa teatralnoscu: vidim da ljudi masovno hvale Lausha, narocito u kontrastu sa Cetkovicem, medjutim ne delim bas sentiment, posto su prakticno obojica otisli u krajnosti - Cetkovic samo valja linije preko jezika toralno mrtav i operisan od bilo kakve emocije (makar suptilne) i zivota koji bi udahnuo svom liku, a nasuprot njemu Lausevic pocesto preglumljuje, pa na momente izgleda kao da se sprda i radi neki skec, a ne da tumaci ozbiljnu ulogu u jednoj seriji prilicno teskobne i napete tematike.

Sto nisi isao na Kopaonik?

Jedno od objašnjenja ... Zašto se poeni u tenisu računaju 15, 30 i 40? Možda ste se nekada zapitali otkud ono čudno brojanje bodova u tenisu. Zašto se neko potrudio da dobije tako neuobičajene kombinacije rezultata kao što su 15-0, 30-40, deuce (đus) … zašto ne 1-0, 2-3? Odgovor leži u istoriji igre. Ustvari postoji više mogućih odgovora vezanih za istoriju tenisa. Prvi datira iz vremena u kome je tenis otprilike i počeo da dobija formu koju ima danas (19. vek), kada su na nekim od stadiona za brojanje korišćeni semafori u obliku časovnika. Svaki poen je označavan pomeranjem kazaljke za jednu četvrtinu kruga, gde je pun gem osvajan kada kazaljka obiđe čitav krug na semaforu. Poeni su brojani slično kao što se očitava vreme sa časovnika, i tako je dobijena sekvenca bodova 15-30-45-60. Ali otkuda onda 40? Za razrešenje ove misterije potrebno je otići vek ranije u prošlost, Francusku neposredno pre revolucije u vreme kada je jedna od najpopularnijih igara kako kod plemstva tako i običnih ljudi bila jeu de paume (igra dlanova) … u svakom smislu preteča današnjeg tenisa. Igra je toliko bila popularna, da je neposredno pre 1789. samo u Francuskoj bilo više od 1000 terena igre u kojoj je cilj bio da se po gemovima i setovima osvajaju poeni tako što se šakom udara loptica unutar delova terena razdvojenih mrežom. Teren je bio dimenzija 90 stopa dužine (2 x 45) i 45 stopa širine. A brojanje … ono je bilo slično današnjem, mada u neku ruku i znatno očiglednije. Naime, server bi se nakon prvog osvojenog poena približio mreži za 15 stopa, nakon drugog za još 15, a nakon trećeg za 10 (nije mogao za 15 jer bi se zakucao u mrežu). I otuda sekvenca 15-30-40. Izraz “love” za nulu potiče od francuskog l’oeuf (jaje) sinonima za nulu. Izraz “deuce” potiče od francuskog “dva”, sa značenjem “još dva poena do gema”. Inače, jeu de paume je vremenom evoluirao tako što je lopta umesto rukama udarana štapom, a kasnije i reketom. Igra je u svom originalnom nazivu bila i jedna od zvaničnih olimpijskih disciplina na Olimpijskim igrama 1908. Nakon toga počinje era modernog tenisa.
