Nick Kyrgios will delay his return to the ATP Tour by two weeks after he suffered a troubling neck injury in training.

Kyrgios hasn’t played since the Australian Open but was set to leave Canberra on Thursday and begin preparations for his return to the tour in Germany, ahead of a Wimbledon campaign.

But the Australian star announced on social media he suffered an injury in the neck and right shoulder in the last fortnight, and will be taking a cautious approach in his comeback.

Kyrgios’ camp believe he is still on track to play Wimbledon, which begins on June 28. He is now expected to leave in about a fortnight and hopes to play one lead up tournament before Wimbledon.

For Williams, it’s on to Wimbledon, including the pre-event quarantine.

Šta to uopšte znači, kako im izgleda taj karantin?

Nije mi jasno zasto nisu pustili publiku, makar 30-50%.

Athletes are not exempt from Japanese government restrictions which were imposed last week; Tokyo 2020 spokesperson Masa Takaya said: "Quarantine for six days is required for some countries where the same treatment will be imposed to athletes and media"

Under the current rules, all Olympic-accredited arrivals from the country must immediately self-isolate in their official Games hotel rooms for a period of six days.

Failure to comply with the rules risks disciplinary consequences including disqualification or even deportation under newly stringent guidelines published by the International Olympic Committee on Tuesday.
