McLaren has agreed a new contract with one of its top engineers after ending its long wait to win the constructors’ championship last year.

 

Peter Prodromou, its technical director for aerodynamics, has committed to the team in a multi-year deal, McLaren announced today.

 

The 56-year-old originally joined the team out of university in 1991. He rose to the position of chief aerodynamicist, then moved to Red Bull in 2007. After overseeing their rise to win four consecutive constructors’ championships, Prodromou returned to McLaren in 2015, and has remained ever since.
