Trebalo je da startuje u 12:30, bio je predlog da se krene u 11 pa je ipak odluceno da bude u 12 zbog TV satnice. Originalno popriste F1 VN SAD - Zapad (uz VN SAD - Iston na Votkins Glenu), od 1984. prelazi u Indikar i samo je 2020. zbog posledica Covid-19 ispala sa kalendara. Staza je za svog postojanja pretrpela mnoge izmene u konfiguraciji ali je zadrzala originalni karakter - prava ulicna, uska, dzombasta, oivicena betonskim zidovima gde se svaka vozacka nepreciznost momentalno kaznjava. U svojoj sadasnjoj konfiguraciji vozi se od sezone 2000, ima 11 krivina, krug je dugacak 3167m, vozi se na duzinu od 85 krugova (269,2km) a rekord kruga 1:07.2359 drzi Aleks Palu u Indikar Ganasi-Hondi postavljen prosle godine. Pobedu od prosle godine brani Dzozef Njugarden u Penski-Sevroletu. Rekorder po broju pobeda u konkurenciji timova je Penski sa 7, kod vozaca Al Anser mladji sa 6.
