cnn Russia says its force have captured the key town of Chasiv Yar in eastern Ukraine after nearly 18 months of fighting in the area. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has not commented on Moscow’s claim, though the country’s military command confirmed Thursday that Russian forces had attacked locations near Chasiv Yar, which lies several miles west of Bakhmut. DeepState, a Ukrainian open-source mapping site that charts the war’s front lines, showed Kyiv’s forces controlling the western part of the town. If confirmed, the seizure of Chasiv Yar would provide high ground for the Russians, and threaten what is known as Ukraine’s fortress belt of cities in Donetsk region, including Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostyantynivka.

DW Trump took the chance on Friday to criticize renewable wind power. "Stop the windmills," he said on his arrival in Scotland, claiming they are "killing the beauty of your country." Trump has spent years railing against windmills. He once unsuccessfully tried to sue to stop the building of wind turbines in Scotland by arguing that an offshore wind farm would mar the view of people playing golf at his Menie course. More than half of Scotland's electricity is currently generated by wind power.

cnn istrazivacki tekst Satellite imagery shows that construction has sharply accelerated at the site in southern Russia. Dozens of new buildings, including what experts believe to be new dormitories and production facilities, have been rapidly taking shape since the winter snow melted this year. This is believed to be Russia’s main attack drone factory, a key part of the Kremlin’s escalating drone offensive on Ukrainian cities. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/25/europe/russia-secretive-drone-factory-rapid-expansion-intl

DW Ukraine's air force has lost one of its French Mirage fighter jets, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, attributing the loss to technical failure. bbc Russia and Ukraine will hold a new round of peace talks in Istanbul on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said. "Today, I discussed with (Ukrainian Security Council chief) Rustem Umerov the preparations for a prisoner exchange and another meeting in Turkey with the Russian side," Zelensky said in his daily address on Monday. "Umerov reported that the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday." Russia's RIA news agency, quoting a source, said the talks would take place over two days, Thursday and Friday. A Turkish government spokesperson said Wednesday's talks would take place in Istanbul, the same venue where previous negotiations in May and June failed to work towards a ceasefire, the Agence France-Presse news agency reported. The Istanbul talks could focus on further prisoner exchanges and a possible meeting between Zelensky and Putin, a senior Ukrainian official told AFP. Moscow, however, has downplayed the likelihood of reaching any concrete outcome anytime soon.

Kad vidis ovakve budaletine zatrovanog mozga, onda uopste nije cudno da je Trump dobio drugi mandat.

Jedan od komentara na video iz hidden spoilera mi je zapao za oko: Is there something like chemically wrong in your brain if you give up a middle class life to go die in some ditch in a war of aggression for a country that isn’t even your own? Like this is levels of falling for propaganda that shouldn’t even be possible.

CNN President Donald Trump “would not recommend” a special prosecutor to investigate the Jeffrey Epstein case, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday — despite some GOP calls to do so. “The president would not recommend a special prosecutor in the Epstein case. That’s how he feels,” Leavitt told reporters at a White House briefing, adding that she was “not sure” if Trump had discussed appointing a special counsel with Attorney General Pam Bondi.

bbc At least two people have been killed and a further 27 injured following a Russian air strike on a shopping centre and market in the town of Dobropillia in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, officials have said. More than 50 shops, 300 apartments and eight cars were damaged in the attack on Wednesday evening, regional governor Vadym Filashkin said on Telegram. In his nightly address, President Volodymyr Zelensky described the strike as "simply horrific" and said there was "no military logic" to it. Russia has escalated its drone and missile strikes across Ukraine in recent weeks, killing more than 230 civilians in June, according to the United Nations - the largest number killed in a month during the three years of war.

CNN Roughly 6 in 10 Americans say they oppose the GOP domestic policy bill that President Donald Trump recently signed into law, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Trump’s rating for handling the budget has slumped 11 points since March, with a rising majority also saying he’s gone too far in cutting government programs. More expect the bill to hurt the economy than to help it, 51% to 29%. By a 25-point margin, they oppose its removal of incentives for the use of clean energy to encourage the use of oil and gas.

CNN US inflation heated back up in June, rising to its highest level in four months, as price increases — including those from tariffs — packed a bigger punch. Consumer prices rose 0.3% last month, pushing the annual inflation rate higher to 2.7%. “Tariffs are starting to bite,” Heather Long, chief economist at Navy Federal Credit Union, told CNN in an interview.

bbc Some conservative members of Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" movement have reacted angrily to the president's plans to sell weapons to Nato, arguing it is a betrayal of his promise to end US involvement in foreign wars. Republican Congresswomen Marjorie Taylor Greene, a key Trump ally, and former Trump strategist Steve Bannon are among those who have criticised the decision, with Bannon telling his podcast listeners that Ukraine is a "European war". Greene said the move was at odds with what she had promised voters on the campaign trail. "It's not just Ukraine; it's all foreign wars in general and a lot of foreign aid," she said. "This is what we campaigned on. This is what I promised also to my district. This is what everybody voted for. And I believe we have to maintain the course." In a rare public disagreement with the president, Greene expressed scepticism that US taxpayers would ultimately avoid bearing any cost and, in a post on social media, criticised "backdoor deals through Nato". "Without a shadow of a doubt, our tax dollars are being used," she told the New York Times, arguing that indirect costs such as US training missions and contributions to Nato qualify as US involvement. "I said it on every rally stage: no more money to Ukraine. We want peace. We just want peace for those people," she said. "And guess what? People haven't changed."

A kad nema takvih vrednosti, onda posledicno dolazi do nadstresnica i slicnih manjih tragedija kakve cesto i ne vidimo jer smo okupirani nekim drugom stvarima.

bbc French President Emmanuel Macron has outlined plans for a big increase in defence spending, warning Europe's liberty is facing a "greater threat" than at any time since the end of World War Two. In a speech to the armed forces in Paris, he said "we are living in a pivotal moment" due to complex geopolitics. Macron called for France's defence spending to rise by €3.5bn (£3bn) next year and then by a further €3bn in 2027. Macron pledged to double France's military budget by 2027, three years earlier than originally planned. In 2017, his country's defence budget stood at €32bn and under the plans would rise to €64bn in two years' time. The proposals still need to be approved by the French government.

Dok cekamo vecerasnju objavu o Rusiji u USA bbc Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has finished his meeting with US special envoy Keith Kellogg, and describes it as a "productive conversation". Zelensky says the pair discussed what the US and Ukraine "can practically do" to bring peace to Ukraine closer. "This includes strengthening Ukraine’s air defence, joint production, and procurement of defence weapons in collaboration with Europe. And of course, sanctions against Russia and those who help it," Zelensky says.

Moji roditelji (ukljucujuci i pokojnog oca) i bliza familija u tom nekom poznijem dobu, nikada, ali nikada nije dala ni jedan jedini glas Vucicu.
