ECR driver Alexander Rossi underwent successful outpatient procedures this evening to repair minor injuries to a finger on his left hand and his right ankle.

He sustained the injuries earlier today during an on-track incident while practicing for the Indianapolis 500. Rossi is in good spirits and has no additional injuries. Rossi’s recovery will be under the care of IndyCar Medical Director Dr. Julia Vaizer and the IndyCar medical team.

His progress will continue to be evaluated with the full intent of participating in final practice on Friday, May 22 and the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 24.

The No. 20 Java House Chevrolet crew will prepare a backup car and return to the track for final practice on Friday, May 22. Additional updates will be provided when available.

Sutra (petak) je poslednji trening pred Indi, poslednja sansa za proveru i fino stelovanje bolida - narocito dragoceno za one koji silom prilika moraju da prave drasticne zahvate na bolidima, da li zbog otpisivanja sasije zbog udesa ili (ne)planirane promene motora. Takodje bice i takmicenje za najbrzi pitstop.

U subotu su brifinzi sa vozacima, parade oldtajmera i jos kojekakva revijalna dogadjanja.

U nedelju trka.

Ovo sve naravno ako vreme bude dozvolilo posto su prognoze da ce biti vrlo nestabilno i promenljivo...

 

U najgorem slucaju ako se trka ne moze odrzati u nedelju bice prebacena za ponedeljak - neradni praznik u SAD.

Da, 15 do 1 po lokalnom vremenu. Mada zavisi od vremena zapravo, trenutno pada kisa i kako stvari stoje padace celo prepodne. Trebace vremena da se prosusi staza, ko zna kad ce zapravo poceti.

Zatvorili su ga na restartu, ili da pusti gas ili da pocisti pola grida.

Ludilo finis, mislio sam da ce Malukas da uzme zbog novijih guma, bio je najbrzi na stazi. Rozenkvist je izvukao zeca iz sesira, ovo je cista magija bila.

Chip Ganassi Racing has been fined $10,000 and Alex Palou has been docked five championship points for a post-race technical inspection infraction with the No. 10 Honda he drove to seventh place at the Indianapolis 500.

 

According to IndyCar Officiating Incorporated (IOI), the car’s front wing failed the minimum height rule which says “the front wing must not measure less than 8.300 inches when set at any angle, while installed on the IndyCar technical inspection fixture.”

 

The lower a wing can be run to the ground, the greater the ground effect it can generate.

 

Of interest, IOI says it “has determined that the non-compliance was the result of an assembly error and not an intentional modification,” and chose to make no adjustment to Palou’s finishing position.
