Damon Hill je debitovao u 32. NIje kasno, ali naravno da neće da vozi za fenjeraše, čovek se već dokazao. Gde ćeš bolje dokazivanje nego li u Indycar šampionatu gde ne možeš da se vadiš na bolji bolid.

 

Ja njega razumem, neće čovek da se valja po blatu, ali biće greh da ne dobije šansu uopšte.

 

U Meklarenu realno nema mesta. Bukvalno su obojica Meklarenovih vozača zacementirana. Ali ako je neko pametan od drugih top timova da ga uzme.

Pa da, on je trebalo da bude "osigurac" ako se Pjastri ne pokaze dovoljno dobar. Sad ne treba.

Da su u RBR pametni pa da ga zovu u RB2 sad kad Loson ispadne iz RB1 i unaprede Cunodu, da ne vracaju Losona dole. Onda naredne godine kad Cunoda vise ne bude imao podrsku Honde jerbo RBR prelazi kod Forda promovisu Palua u prvi tim. Mada ne znam koliko bi se njemu islo u to zmijsko gnezdo pa jos na Maksa...

Nisu montirali jedan bezbednosni uredjaj (tj. montirali su samo jedan, a od ove sezone traze se dva). Nema uticaja na performanse, zato Herta nije diskvalifikovan.

PREMA Racing has been fined $25,000 and lost 10 entrants’ points from its No. 83 Chevy driven by Robert Shwartzman after IndyCar found the car to be in breach of its technical regulations at The Thermal Club.

 

Having caught fire during the Friday practice session and stopped on track, Shwartzman told FOX, “I felt the seat was getting heated up, and I looked in the mirror and there was smoke and fire coming, so I immediately stopped the car and jumped out.”

 

IndyCar’s AMR Safety Team arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire, but a post-incident review found the new IndyCar team contributed to the severity of the fire — one that required an overnight chassis change — by using a non-approved fire suppression system activation ring.

IndyCars have two fire-suppression activation methods available – the first via a button in the cockpit, and the second being an external ring that’s mounted at the rear of the roll hoop fairing for drivers, crew, or first responders to pull. The external method is the one that was found to be out of compliance.

The change comes after IndyCar relied solely on Dallara to conceive and craft the visuals of its upcoming car.

 

Based on comments from some team owners who described Dallara’s rendering as a warmed-over DW12, Belli’s involvement has had an immediate impact. According to those who’ve seen Belli’s influence on the upcoming design, the most recent version of the next-generation car is said to look nothing like the original rendering, with comments offered that suggest Belli has taken its appearance to a much more appealing place.

 

For the Welshman, who joined IndyCar in 2014 and serves as its head of aerodynamic development, it’s a return to shaping IndyCars in a more pleasing fashion.

Narednog vikenda vozi se Monako Indikara, VN Long Bica.

Trka originalno vozena kao VN SAD Zapad u sastavu svetskog sampionata F1 ove godine slavi 50-godisnjicu postojanja a od 1984. vozi se u sastavu Indikar sampionata prvo pod sankcijom CART da bi od 2008. postala deo sadasnjeg ujedinjenog sampionata. Konfiguracija staze se menjala godinama i sada samo jedan manji deo se poklapa sa originalnom konfiguracijom ali je kroz sve promene ona zadrzala karakter - betonski zidovi i dzombe koje ne prastaju greske, par dugih pravaca i ukosnica u kojima onaj hrabriji na kocnicama prestize.

Ova sezona je zapocela sa dominaciojm aktuelnog sampiona Aleksa Palua koji je pametnom taktickom voznjom uzeo pobede i u St. Pitu i na Termalu. Aleks je u sjajnoj vozackoj formi a i tim je sve sto je do njih odradio perfektno i bez greske. Bice interesantno videti da li ce se trend nastaviti i ovde jer Long Bic je jedan od retkih trofeja koji nedostaje u kolekciji mladog trostrukog sampiona.

Sto se tice timova ovde dominira "velika trojka", Penski i Ganasi imaju po 7 a Andreti ima 6 pobeda. vozacki kralj Long Bica je Al Anser mladji sa 6 pobeda a medju aktuelnim vozacima Pauer, Dikson i Rosi imaju po 2 pobede. Rekord kruga drzi Kolton Herta sa 1:05.309s.

Imala je obezbedjenog sponzora, motor, tim ali nije bilo slobodne sasije nove specifikacije za nju. Navodno, PREMA je kupila svih 8 sasija koje su trenutno u opticaju da bi sprecila da jos neko pokusa na Indy 500 i time potencijalno izbaci njihove vozace iz trke. Znaci imacemo 34 vozaca koji konkurisu za 33 startera sto garantuje barem jedan PREMA bolid u trci.

U taktickoj trci bez ijedne zute zastave - ove sezone smo imali samo 3 kruga pod zutim, nakon udesa na startu St. Pita - gde su svi pokusavali nesto drugacije da bi na kraju sve doslo na isto Kirkvud u direktnom duelu dobio Palua odbranivsi poziciju u finisu trke.

Jedino je Njugarden izduvao zbog problema sa pojasem koji mu se otvorio pa je morao u boks jedan put viska da ga vezu.

The NASCAR champion was uninjured after getting high in Turn 1 on a qualifying simulation run in the No. 17 Chevy that saw the car — while running north of 235mph — drift up and out of the groove and strike the wall on corner exit with the right-side suspension. The impact broke Larson’s right-front suspension, which partially folded inward.

 

The No. 17 Dallara DW12 rolled through the short chute and had a glancing blow that in Turn 2 that did similar damage to the right-rear suspension before coming to a stop. Larson climbed from the car on his own and the broken machine was lifted and towed to the garages.

 

Kazu da na Indiju postoje dve vrste vozaca - oni koji su overili zid, i oni koji ce da ga overe. Larson je iz ove druge grupe upravo presao u prvu.

Just 15 minutes after Arrow McLaren/Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson hit the Turn 1 wall with the right side of his car which caused a modest amount of damage, Sato flew through the corner, spun, and smashed the left side of his Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing car, which went on to rotate and make more contact with the wall before stopping in Turn 2.

The rear of the No. 75 Honda was battered and leaking, which required the AMR Safety Team to apply a large quantity of oil-dry to the section of the track where the car came to a rest. Unlike Larson, Sato didn’t climb from the car in a quick manner; he waited more than a minute to get out and appeared to need a few moments before slowly walking away and observing the damage that was done to the car.

IndyCar sampionat ovog vikenda gostuje na Barberu, jednoj od najlepsih modernih staza na svetu. Za razliku od vestackih marina iz Majamija ovde imamo prirodu i zelenilo. Barber je dokaz da moderne staze ne moraju da izgledaju kao parking ispred trznog centra preko kojeg je neko bojama iscrtao konture staze, da one mogu biti moderne i bezbedne a da izglednom i karakterom podsecaju na klasike iz nekih davno proslih vremena.

Na prve dve trke ove sezone pobede je uzeo aktuelni sampion Aleks Palu, dok je na prethodnoj "podbacio" i bio drugi iza Kajla Kirkvuda. Mladi Spanac deluje nezaustavljivo i namece se kao glavni kandidat za titulu - potencijalno cetvrtu u poslednjih 5 sezona. Ovako nije dominirao ni timski mu kolega Skot Dikson u svoje najbolje vreme, a Dikson vazi za jednog od najdominantnijih u istoriji sporta. Istorijski ova staza ipak vise odgovara konkurenciji, najtrofejniji medju vozacima ovde je Dzozef Njugarden sa 3 pobede a medju timovima Penski (za koje vozi i Njugarden) sa 8 pobeda. Paluov Ganasi je ovde pobedjivao samo jednom - i upravo je Palu bio taj pobednik, 2021. Na poslednje dve trke pobedjivao je Njugardenov kolega Skot Mekloklin a i treci Penskijevac Vil Pauer ima dve pobede ovde. Hoce li se taj trend nastaviti?
