Top 12 ce imati po jedan pokusaj za pol, od 12. (Lundgard) zavrsno sa prvim (Palu). Poslednja 4 se kvalifikuju za preostala tri mesta na poslednjem redu i imaju neogranicen broj pokusaja (tj. ograniceno samo preostalim vremenom) - svako ima jedan zagarantovan pokusaj a zatim mogu da poniste vreme ako nisu zadovoljni i pokusaju ponovo.

Radoye Posted Sunday at 09:59 PM Author Posted Sunday at 09:59 PM Objasnjenje - Penski je modifikovao nosac zadnjeg krila koji je u isto vreme i kres struktura - ovo je uhvaceno tokom tehnickog pregleda ali su oni ipak isterali bolid na pit lajn (ima odredjeno vreme do kad moraju da budu tamo da ne izgube red za kvalifikacije) i onda tamo krenuli da menjaju ilegalni deo. Ostali timovi su ulozili protest jer na pit lajnu jedino sto je dozvoljeno je promena ugla krila i pritiska u gumama. Penskiju je zato naredjeno da povuku bolide u garazu. Tako da ce sva tri njihova bolida trku startovati iz 4. reda sa pozicija 10-11-12 (ostaje jos da se potvrdi tacan raspored). Mekloklinov udes: Â Â

Radoye Posted Monday at 11:42 AM Author Posted Monday at 11:42 AM Da se stavi u perspektivu Svarcmanov podvig - Poslednji put je ruki startovao sa pol pozicije 1996. ali su to bile specificne okolnosti - naime Toni Stjuart je nasledio pol poziciju nakon tragicnog udesa polednjeg dana treninga pred trku u kojem je smrtno stradao pravi ostajac pol pozicije Skot Brajton. Poslednji ruki koji je osvojio pol poziciju bio je F1 vozac Teo Fabi 1983. godine (interesantno - Svarcmanov bolid nosi broj 83, a tim Prema je iz Italije odakle je i Fabi). Od 2. svetskog rata naovamo jos samo jednom je ruki uzeo pol poziciju, bilo je to davne 1950. godine kad je Volt Fokner uzeo prvo mesto.

Ostaju bez bodova za kvalifikacije, kaznjeni su sa po $100 hiljada i suspendovan je glavni strateg tima do kraja Indi 500! 1

Pojavili su se dokazi i da je proslogodisnji Njugardenov pobednicki bolid bio modifikovan na identican nacin kao sada. Ovo je ogroman skandal!

Â Robert Shwartzman earned his first career Indianapolis 500 pole. Shwartzman, born in Tel Aviv, Israel, is the first Israel native to compete in âThe Greatest Spectacle in Racing.â Robert Shwartzman is the first rookie to win the pole since Teo Fabi in 1983. Tony Stewart started from the pole in 1996. He qualified second but moved to the pole position after his teammate Scott Brayton suffered fatal injuries in a crash during post-qualifying practice. Ovo su tri glavne pozicije u Indikar timu. Nije moglo drugacije, ovo je moralo da se desi.
