IndyCar Series officials chose to take no action toward Ed Carpenter Racing’s Christian Rasmussen or Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Conor Daly after the two drivers made contact on three occasions across two consecutive laps during Sunday’s BitNile.com Grand Prix of Portland.

 

The final incident fired Daly hard into the wall, which ended a volatile and escalating exchange which started when Rasmussen tracked out at Turn 7 and put both of their cars into the grass. Once they returned to the tarmac, Daly chased Rasmussen down the front straight and tagged the back of his car in Turn 2. The last meeting in the high-speed Turn 10-11 section saw contact ship Daly across the grass and into the barriers with enough force to lift his car off the ground.

Titula je vec resena ali nam do kraja sezone ostaju jos dve trke, dva kratka ovala prvi ovog vikenda u Milvokiju, drugi narednog u Nesvilu.

Posto cu ja zbog puta da propustim obe trke neka ovo bude najava za oba vikenda.

Milvoki je najstarija aktivna trkacka staza na svetu, originalno izgradjena kao hipodrom jos u XIX veku a auto-trke se tu voze od 1903. tako da ga to cini starijim i od Indijanapolisa (1909.) i od pokojnog Bruklendsa (1907.) koji je bio prva staza sagradjena specijalno za auto-trke. Simetrican oval od 1 milje duzine bez znacajnog nagiba u krivinama pogoduje Indikar bolidima koji ovde uvek dobro voze.

 

Prosle godine je ovo bio dabl-heder vikend (ove godine ne), pa pobede brane Pato O'Vord i Skot Mekloklin.

Nesvil je suprotnost, moderan oval od 1 1/3 milje duzine u obliku slova D sa nagibom od 14 stepeni u krivinama sagradjen 2001, Indikar pod sankcijom IRL vozio je tu od pocetka pa do ujedinjenja 2008. i ponovo prosle godine. Proslogodisnja trka je bila jako dobra, nema razloga da i ovogodisnja ne bude takva.

Pobedu od prosle godine brani Kolton Herta.
