Nije lako sakupljati takve neobicne podatke.

Who knows if this is even on his radar, but winning Canada is pretty much a must for Nadal if he wants to be YE #1. Felix lurking on the edges of the WTF spots makes me happy. Odds are he doesn't qualify, but it's awesome that he's at #11 at this point of the season.

Not sure anyone but me is looking into these things, but this year's YE#1 race is quite significant. Either Nadal ties RF and Djokovic at 5, RF passes Djokovic and joins Pete for all-time high at 6, or Djokovic passes RF, joins Pete, and gets 2 over Nadal. #HolyTriadRace

Part of me is rooting for the Holy Triad to end up tied in a bunch of things (total Slam titles being the foremost), and YE#1 seems like a fun one. The odds look better for Djokovic to end up with the most of those, though.

TweetDeck seems to have eaten it, so here's take 2 on my annual tweet about how Pete Sampras' 6 STRAIGHT Year-End #1 finishes (from 93-98) remain the most underappreciated feat in tennis.

It's fun to look at Wikipedia and see the Year-End rankings for that 93-98 stretch. Some really good players in that Top-10. Also, hilarious that Sampras could pull the 6-straight YE#1s without a whole lot of Masters1000 dominance.

It's interesting that only 2 of those 6 seasons really were close. 95 was decided by all of 77 points (a measly 150 more or less in today's points), and 98 was 245. Amazingly, Sampras won only 8 Masters 1000 TOTAL in those 6 seasons, with 4 runner-up appearances.

Obviously, the Year-End #1 blueprint for Sampras was Slams - and success at the WTFs. In those 6 seasons, Sampras won at least 1 Slam every season, 2 Slams in 4 seasons, won the WTFs 3x, 1 RU.

Pete was amazing in finals during that 6-year YE#1 stretch: he went 43-54 in title matches. Overall, the tally in those years: 10 Slams, 8 M1000 titles, 3 WTFs, 22 other assorted smaller titles. Though one of those was a Grand Slam Cup which was an odd thing I know little about

Given all of that, it's pretty amazing people had Djokovic behind Sampras in all-time great discussions after 2015-2016.

Here's what Djokovic did in just two years:

- 5 Slams ( including all 4 in a row. Sampras never made a French Open final)

- 10 (!!!) Masters 1000 titles

- 1 WTF

ATP bodovi i rang liste do kraja godine:
