Jedva sam se nekako na 15 ograničio (50 bi bio realniji emergency kit). Malo sam varao sa live albumima, pošto se kod live-albuma na neki način radi o best of kompilacijama pa sadrže dosta toga. Sa druge strane interpretacije na live albumima mogu da budu neuporedivo bolje od interpretacija na studijskim albumima. Rhythm of the Heat na Peter Gabriel Plays Live, na primer, je jednostavno pesma bez koje ne mogu da živim dok je studijska verzija blago dosadna. Manu Katche rulez! Kod izbora sam primetio da se ovo pomalo razlikuje od muzike koju dnevno slušam u kolima, uz posao i sl. Ovo su albumi (u slučaju klasike dela/interpretacije) koje od više puta godišnje do bar jedanput godišnje slušam (dobro, ima ih još) i bez kojih stvarno ne bih mogao na pusto ostrvo. All-time muzika za me-time. Ako su se u izboru od nekoliko terabajta izborili, znači da ima nešto u njima. Redni broj ne označava nikakvu poziciju, ovi su svi broj jedan. 1. Joy Division - Closer 2. Simple Minds - Empires and Dance 3. Simple Minds - New Gold Dream (zadnji album na kome su još valjali, pre nego što ih je Steve Lillywhite sa svojom produkcijom uništio. Ovde su dostigli vrh filigranosti) 4. King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King (sa ovim i Pink Floydom me je burazer po ujaku u mladim danima, negde 72., indirektno usmerio na kasniju alternativu, a čovek je bio klasičan Woodstockaš, koji organski ne podnosi alternativu 😁) 5. Japan - Oil on Canvas 6. Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery and Imagination 7. Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth 8. Peter Gabriel - Plays Live 9. Pink Floyd - Wish you were here 10. Jan Garbarek - Twelve Moons 11. Ultravox - Vienna 12. Carl Orff - Carmina Burana (Ozawa, berlinski filharmoničari) 13. Tchaikovsky - Piano Concerto No.1 (Argerich, Abbado, berlinski filharmoničari) 14. Rachmaninov - Piano Concerto No. 2 (Rbinstein, Reiner, čikaška simfonija) 15. Mussorgsky - Slike sa izložbe (Orkestracija Ashkenazy (Ravel je malo limunadast), Philharmonia Orchestra) Da čujemo šta ko još smatra remek delima bez kojih ne bi mogao na pusto ostvro. Čak i fina štampa, The Financial Times se tu saplete pa kaže (2007) da produkcijske kuće treba da daju uzorke svojih albuma, kao što promoteri onih malih bočice proizvođača šampona rade. Wrong! Šampon je sav isti u boci ali pesme u albumu nisu. Bolje da si rekao koji bi CD nasnimili sa svojim omiljenim pesmama i odneo u negde gde možeš da ga slušaš, pa i na pusto ostrvo. Pa to se i radi, radite i vi, ne cele albume nego šta vam se sviđa na svoje smartphone pa sa njih slušate. Da baš dođem na samrtni odar, koju bi pesmu voleo da čujem, poslednju u životu, bila bi Jimi Hendrix "All along the watchtower". It was first broadcast on the BBC Forces Programme on 29 January 1942.[2] Each week a guest, called a 'castaway' during the programme, is asked to choose eight recordings (usually, but not always, music), a book and a luxury item that they would take if they were to be cast away on a desert island, whilst discussing their lives and the reasons for their choices. It was devised and originally presented by Roy Plomley. Since 2006, the programme has been presented by Kirsty Young. I slazem se sa @Radoye..mada obicno albume pamtimo po singlovima,postoje oni koji fantasticno funkcionisu kao zaokruzena celina i koji kao takvi imaju kultni status. Za Hendrix-a se 100% slažem, njegova verzija te pesme je najbolja i ima drive za razliku d Dylanovog originala, koji je blago dosadnjikav, a i mnogo bolja od Ferry-jeve obrade. Ne bi mi baš bila poslednja u životu, ali je jedan od all time favorita. ( a inače čak ni ne slušam te Woodstock varijante, ali All along the Watchtower rulez) Međutim, grešiš, sinko, silno grešiš. Ima zaokruženih albuma, da ne govorimo o koncept-albumima, koji se bez daha slušaju od A do Z. Moji navedeni svi u tu kategoriju spadaju. Nije to Madonna sa dva hita i 13 sranja na albumu. Prvih 4 albuma Simple Minds-a (dok se nisu iskvarili) se svi slušaju u celini, posebno New Gold Dream. Wish you were here, Closer i Vienna su takođe zaokružene celine, Tales of Mystery and Imagination, In the Court of the Crimson King i Twelve Moons su konzeptualni, a Into the Labyrinth, Peter Gabriel plays Live i Oil on Canvas su live-koncerti, time best of kompilacije, ovaj zadnji čak takođe koceptualni. Malo ko bi Viennu od Ultravox-a, doduše, ozbiljno uzeo, ali taj album daje jednu zaokruženu sliku, meni je to jedna elektronska mini opera takoreći. Imaš gomilu muzičara, koji se ne slušaju u varijanti pesama već celih albuma. Laury Anderson, Brian Eno, Nico, Residents, John Zorn, Terry Riley, Clint Mansell, Stockhausen, Pierre Schaeffer, etc, pa čak i među (uslovno rečeno) nešto malo komercijalnijim umetnicima imaš Dead Can Dance i solo projekte Lise Gerrard, David Sylvian-a, Can, Holger Scukay-a, Fripp-a, Waits-a,... Čak i oni baš komercijalni kao Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Vollenweider, etc, imaju gomilu albuma, koji se kao celina slušaju. Zato sam i imao problem sa izborom. U par terabajta imam u celoj gomii i nekoliko stotina naslova, koji se stvarno kao celina slušaju. Na kraju mi je u listi za pusto ostrvo možda nešto malo komercijalniji izbor pošto zanimljivi umetnici kao John Zorn i Steve Reich (takođe Gotika, metal i EBM) ne mogu baš uvek i u svakom raspoloženju da se slušaju. Lako je ovoj omladini, malo Pink Floyd, malo Roki Vulovic, mi do Rokija ne stignemo, a lista vec na 14 strana. Zato da malo ozivimo topik, sa pojedinacnim albumima ……… recimo jedan koji je pre 20-tak godina promenio totalno moj muzicki ukus u trenutku kada sam postao beznadezno prezasicen klasicnom rock/soul/funk glazbom …….. LUDovic Navarre …. Saint Germain ….. i neki drugi koje su napamet znale i sve moje komsije …….. a koji opet veze nemaju jedan s drugim …...
